Founded
in January of 2003, the Asian American Biz Council (AABiz) is
a local, non-profit organization that is proactive in the advancement
of Asian and non-Asian American entrepreneurs and professionals
in the business, sciences, arts, sports, education, entertainment,
community, and public service sectors in Central Virginia. Through
advocacy, education, information, and networking, we seek to
expand by bringing together diverse groups spanning the entire
Asian American business community on issues mutually affecting
their business interests and growth.
AABiz members' heritage has its source from countries of the
Asian continent. The AABiz is dedicated to providing opportunities,
for Asian American business owners and purchasers from corporate
and government, to meet and do business together. Through collaborative
efforts, the AABiz works under the umbrella of the Asian American
Society of Central Virginia.
We have strategic relationships with the Virginia Minority Supplier
Development Council, The City of Richmond's Office of Minority
Business Enterprise, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce,
the Leadership Metro Richmond, the Virginia Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce, the Retail Merchants Association, the National
Association of Women's Business Owners, and all organizations
that would gain from our participation.
