
IAVA is a non-profit organization committed to promote Indian
population in the state of Virginia (particularly Richmond)
in terms of culture, socio-economic needs and other ethnic activities.
IAVA is also committed to bring the feeling of home back from
India to the people settled here in the United States. The association
is run by local Indian residents who work harder day by day
to make a success of this organization. Every year a new committee
is selected through fair elections.
The
committee makes an ongoing effort to work closely with various
organizations representing multiple facets of the Indian Community
in Richmond. The various ethnic groups of Indian culture like
Hindus, Tamils, Gujratis, Telagus, Punjabis come together to
form a multicultural organization.
